Who
My name is Carsyn Cronin and I'm a YES Abroad exchange student from The United States who spent a year abroad in Kamphaeng Phet, Thailand during 22-23. When I first arrived, I immediately fell in love with the music and started creating a playlist of every song I heard. I also took lessons to learn the Kong Wong Lek which allowed me to learn about the traditional music of Thailand as well. Upon my return to the States, I will be attending university as a zoology major. While music is not my future career, I will continue to enjoy Thai music forever!

Why
As a part of my exchange, I needed to create a capstone project. Seeing how much I enjoyed the music here it made sense to base my project off of it. I decided to put it in the format of a website in hopes that I could share this amazing music with people around the world. I knew that just making a website about the history wouldn't be engaging enough, so I added the karaoke and translation aspect so that people could learn to sing along while also understanding what the songs mean. For each song, I tried to find different artists and songs from different decades. With all these put together I hope that my website will serve as an insight into a new culture by introducing a different aspect of an already popular topic.
